ABOUT

Diaspora (di-as-po-ra) is the movement of people from their homeland to other geographic regions. Think of it as individuals and families being “dispersed” due to war, persecution, or violence. Or, traveling to another part of the world in search of a better life.

The Treasure Valley of Idaho welcomes refugees and volunteer transplants from around the world. A quick Google search found restaurants representing the cuisine of five of the seven continents. The two missing continents are Antarctica and Australia.

Join me on a virtual tour of the world as I explore the stories of the restaurant owners and their native cuisine. Meet an international group of amazing people and experience the global cuisines of the Treasure Valley.
